Shane Foster Casey was born March 3, 1987, and would be the only child of doctors Regina and Jack Casey, both psychologists with a fairly large practice in Shane's birthplace of Concord, New Hampshire. Shane's early life was a happy, if accident prone one. He was the most likely to be  run over by his own bike after foregoing training wheels. He fell out of a tree on a kindergarten field trip to the zoo.  He wanted to be adopted by giraffes as he was already the tallest kid in class and teased relentlessly. He broke an arm. That was year his mother suffered the first of two miscarriages. The resulting depression left her despondent. She repeatedly forgot to pick up young Shane from school, leaving him to be fodder for elementary school bullies. Shane was a lonely child who thought the would-be siblings were friends he never got to have. Girls were drawn to Shane, even in his early youth,  as they recognized something in him that needed some maternal nurturing. Because of this, male classmates hated Shane. To combat this, Shane bulked up and was a high school football star and the class president - not because of any desire to be popular, but to redeem his former self.

Shane's parents divorced when he was a junior in high school and, out the rancor between the two of them began diagnosing Shane with all sorts of divorce-related, teen-angst mental maladies. Shane often said that they missed arguing with one another so they found a reason to continue it elsewhere. He moved out in his senior year and lived with friends and team mates until high school graduation. His guidance counselors were all over him. His grades were good enough to warrant scholarships anywhere as by now the psychologists had cut him out of both family money and their lives. Football recruiters were hounding him, too, but football had taken its toll on his body (he played hurt in the last game of the year) - but regardless, football was something he'd done to impress people, and after high school, he didn't feel the need to didn't feel the need to anymore.

He took a year off of school, which turned to two years of trying to "find himself" and he usually found himself in bed with someone. He took a few classes (and still does, part time), in business management. He hopes to open up his own photography studio after seeing what a cash cow senior portraits ended up being, in high school. Currently, he works at the local mall's portrait studio. He doesn't hate it, but it's thankless and a headache. He parties most nights after work to purge the stress of crying children and suburban families.

Facts.
. In order to cut his parents out of his life, he had to go off of the medications that they put him on, which resulted in a year of withdraw.

. Shane's very first girlfriend was the daughter of one of his mom's patients. The mother had really aggressive rules about what the girl was allowed to do. One night, after bringing the girl home late, her mother slammed the door in Shane's face and warned him never to come back. His first heartbreak.

. Shane partied hard before August training in high school football, and, while he got through the workout, passed out soon after. He's surprised he even woke up and counts it high on his list of scary experiences.

. Shane's really good at knowing exactly what it takes to cheer someone up. And he won't just use that information on a bad day, but when you're least expecting it. In short, he's a really good friend and doesn't expect a lot in return, other than that the people in his life have his back when needed.
